DEFINITION: The right front, the right rear, or the left rear power window is inoperative at the selected door switch, but operates properly with the driver door window switch.

Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Select DATA from the driver door module (DDM) data list.
  3. Operate the door window switch to the UP and the DOWN positions.

Does the scan tool indicate that the switch operates properly?

  1. Disconnect the inoperative power window switch.
  2. Measure the resistance between the window switch terminal 2 and terminal 4 while pressing the switch to the UP position.
  3. Measure the resistance between the window switch terminal 1 and terminal 4 while pressing the switch to the DOWN position.

Is the resistance within the specified range for both measurements?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Replace the power window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Disconnect the door module connector at the inoperative door.
  2. Measure the resistance between the window switch harness connector terminal 4 and the appropriate door module connector terminal:
  3. • Right front door - terminal 10
    • Right rear door - terminal A1
    • Left rear door - terminal B9

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 7

Repair an open in the appropriate circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems:

    • Right front door - CKT 1189
    • Right rear door - CKT 1196
    • Left rear door - CKT 1195

Measure the resistance between the window switch harness connector terminal 1 and the appropriate door module harness connector terminal:

    • Right front door - terminal 9
    • Right rear door - terminal B12
    • Left rear door - terminal B8.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 9

Repair an open in the appropriate circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems:

    • Right front door - CKT 501
    • Right rear door - CKT 1188
    • Left rear door - CKT 1187

Measure the resistance between the window switch harness connector terminal 2 and the appropriate door module harness connector terminal:

    • Right front door - terminal 8
    • Right rear door - terminal B8
    • Left rear door - terminal B7

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 11

Repair an open in the appropriate circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems:

    • Right front door - CKT 1184
    • Right rear door - CKT 1186
    • Left rear door - CKT 1185
