  1. Turn the ignition on.
  2. Turn the rear defogger switch on.

The indicator light on the rear defogger switch illuminates and the rear defogger is operational.

The indicator light does not illuminate and the defogger does not operate. Refer to Rear Window Defogger Inoperative .

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    • The indicator light on the rear defogger switch illuminates and the rear defogger operates.
    • The indicator light turns off and the rear defogger does not operate after a 5-10 minute time period.

The indicator light is on, the rear defogger is operating and continues to operate after approximately a 10 minute time period. Refer to Defoggers and Heated Mirrors Always On .
