  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Inspect the SECURITY indicator.

The SECURITY indicator is OFF.

SECURITY Indicator Always On or Flashing

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the START position.
  2. Release the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    • The engine cranks.
    • The SECURITY indicator turns OFF 5 seconds after the engine starts.
    • The SECURITY indicator is OFF. The engine cranks but does not start. Refer to Ignition System Check in Engine Electrical.
