Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to all positions, and then to the OFF position.
  3. Disconnect connector C202 from the wiper/washer switch connector.

Are the wipers still operating?

--

Go to Step 6

Check for a short to voltage in the pigtail wires to the wiper/washer switch.

Is a short to voltage present?

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to voltage in the pigtail wires to the wiper/washer switch.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the replacement complete?

Turn the ignition off, then back on.

Are the wipers still operating?

Replace the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .

Measure the voltage from connector C202, terminal B2, to ground using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector C202.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
  3. Measure the voltage from wiper motor connector, terminal G, to ground using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Replace the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 478.

Is the repair complete?

Measure voltage from connector C202, terminal B4, to ground using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

  1. Reconnect wiper/washer switch connector C202.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
  3. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal D, to ground using a DMM.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15 V

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 92.
