Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check?

  1. Disconnect the body control module (MALL) connector C2.
  2. Use a digital multimeter (DMM) set to ohms scale in order to backprobe the inoperative front power door lock switch connector between terminal B and ground.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 3

Test for an open in CKT 1250 (BLK) from SP 304 to the inoperative front power door lock switch.

Is CKT 1250 open?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 1250 (BLK).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Inspect for poor terminal contact at the inoperative front power door lock switch.

Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis in Wiring Systems.

Is the connector terminal contact OK?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the terminal contact at the front power door lock switch connector.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the inoperative front power door lock switch.
