Condition
Some customers may comment on a body boom, drone or moan noise while cruising at 56-64 km/h (35-40 mph) on light throttle in 4th gear and torque converter clutch (TCC) on. If the TCC is commanded off, the concern will be eliminated.
Cause
With the TCC on under the above operating conditions, engine firing pulses excite the body floor pan in the rear of the vehicle creating a body noise.
Correction
Updated ECM and TCM calibrations are now available to address this concern. Reprogram the controllers with updated calibration files using the TIS2WEB Service Programming System (SPS) application. These calibrations will be available as an ECM/TCM programming sequence event.
