Subject: | Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -- Check Engine Light On, DTC P2635 Set (Reprogram Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM)) |
Models: | 2008 Saturn VUE |
with 3.5L V6 Engine (VIN N -- RPO LZ4) |
Some customers may comment that the check engine light is on.
Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC P2635 set as current or history in the fuel pump control module (FPCM).
Review "Ignition 1 Signal" voltage in the Freeze Frame Data using the Tech 2®.
• | If the "Ignition 1 Signal" is greater than 14.8 volts, this code is likely set due to a calibration error. An updated calibration for the FPCM has been released to address this concern. This new calibration will ensure proper fuel pressure is maintained through the full range of system voltage. Reprogram the FPCM with updated calibration files using the TIS2WEB Service Programming System (SPS) application. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version. |
• | If the "Ignition 1 Signal" is less than 14.8 volts, refer to published SI diagnostics. |
Clear the P2635 from the FPCM and the associated P069E from the ECM.
