The Traction Control System (TCS) Warning Light will show one of these two symbols.
This light will come on briefly when the engine is started.
This light will also come on when the Traction Control System (TCS) has been turned off or when the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is not ready. If there is a problem with the TCS or the ESP, this light and the TCS warning light will come on at the same time. See Traction Control System (TCS) and Electronic Stability Program for more information.
The Traction Control System (TCS) warning light may come on for the following reasons:
• | The system is turned off by pressing the traction control button located above the audio system on the instrument panel. The warning light will come on and stay on. Press the button again, to turn the system back on. The warning light should go off. See Traction Control System (TCS) for more information. |
• | An engine and brake system problem related to traction control makes the TCS turn off. |
If the TCS warning light comes on and stays on for an extended period of time when the system is turned on, your vehicle needs service.
