Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 933686 Size: SH

Important: Make sure seals on HVAC module are flush and even as the meet their mating surfaces. This will reduce the chance of leaks and insure proper fit.

  1. Check front of dash seal for proper alignment.
  2. Check seal mating surfaces to insure there are no obstructions.
  3. Important: Make sure center "molded in case" HVAC to cross car beam bracket is forward of cross car beam down flange.

  4. Loose hang HVAC module from cross car beam.

  5. Object Number: 931912 Size: SH

Important: New front of dash seal nuts must be used to prevent leaks.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install front of dash to HVAC module seal nuts, draw module to FOD evenly with nuts and tighten.
  7. Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
