Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the rear liftgate wiper arm assembly. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
2. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.

Rear Window Wiper Motor Pivot Shaft Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Rear Window Wiper Motor Bolts

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Window Wiper Motor

Tip
Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connectors.

Rear Window Wiper Motor Pivot Shaft Gasket

Tip
Ensure the gasket is indexed properly to the rear liftgate window.
