For 1990-2009 cars only

To replace a headlamp or sidemarker bulb, do the following:

  1. Open the hood. See Hood Release for more information.

  2. Object Number: 1236038  Size: B3
  3. Remove the sidemarker fasteners.
  4. Remove the sidemarker lamp from the body of the vehicle.

  5. Object Number: 1236057  Size: B3
  6. Rotate the sidemarker bulb socket counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.
  7. Replace with a new bulb.
  8. If you need to change a headlamp bulb, continue to follow these directions. If not, reinstall the lamp assembly by reversing the Steps 1 through 3.

  9. Remove the sidemarker housing to access the headlamp assembly.

  10. Object Number: 1236059  Size: B3
  11. Remove the fasteners from the headlamp assembly.

  12. Object Number: 1236060  Size: B3
  13. Insert a flat blade tool through the opening in the top. Make sure the tool fits through the opening in the headlamp bracket lower arm.

  14. Object Number: 1236061  Size: B3
  15. Push the locking tab toward the rear of the vehicle with the tool to lift the headlamp bracket lower arm.
  16. Lift up the assembly.
  17. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb assembly.
  18. Rotate the bulb assembly counterclockwise to remove it from the housing.
  19. Replace the old bulb with a new one.
  20. Reverse the steps to reinstall the headlamp and sidemarker assembly.
