White spots appear on the interior garnish moldings.
The interior garnish moldings are overstressed during removal and/or installation causing a stress or yield mark that gives a white appearance.
Perform the following procedure to remove the stress or yield marks from the interior garnish moldings.
Notice: Use care not to damage the interior components adjacent to the interior garnish molding. Cover the surrounding area to protect them from possible damage.
Notice: Do not overheat the area while removing the stress or yield marks, or interior garnish molding may get a shiny surface.
Using a Snap-On® heat gun, or equivalent heat gun capable of obtaining 402°C (750°F), in a slow circular motion, heat the area of the stress or yield marks on the interior garnish molding until the stress or yield mark is removed.
