Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic procedure applies to serial data engine coolant temperature gage located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC).

Circuit/System Testing

Ignition ON, with the scan tool, perform the IPC Display Test in the IPC Output Controls. Verify that the engine coolant temperature gage dial moves from minimum to the maximum value and back to the gage minimum value.

If the gage does not perform the IPC Display Test, replace the IPC.
