Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 893818 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Transmission Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4740-E/4T45-E.
  3. Using an electrical terminal pick, remove the solenoid electrical terminals from the connector body.

  4. Using a 5/32 in drill bit, drill out the rivet attaching the solenoid to the control assembly.

  5. Remove the shift lock control solenoid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 893824 Size: SH
  1. Route the shift lock control solenoid wires through the opening in the control assembly.

    2. Object Number: 893821 Size: SH
  2. Insert the wire terminals into the connector body.

    3. Object Number: 893826 Size: SH
  3. Position the solenoid to the control assembly and install the solenoid pop rivet with a rivet gun.
  4. Install the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Transmission Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
