Removal Procedure
  1. INSERT GRAPHIC SMVIS 79438AA2

    2. Pull on the recliner handle cover to disengage the attaching clips.

  2. Move the cover rearward to disengage the locking feature and remove the cover.
  3. INSERT GRAPHIC SMVIS 79935AA1

    4. Remove the recliner handle retainer and remove the handle.

Installation Procedure
  1. INSERT GRAPHIC SMVIS 79935AA1

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the recliner handle and the retainer.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the manual seat recliner handle-to-seat adjuster fasteners to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  3. INSERT GRAPHIC SMVIS 79438AA2

    4. Position the recliner cover to seat the outer valance ensuring that the rear lockign feature is over the side trim panel.

  4. Snap the recliner cover in to seat the outer valance.
