Purpose:
Important: Refer to Julian Date on Transaxle Identification Tag to Obtain Correct Parts.
Notice: First design and second design reverse clutch and related components are not interchangeable. Failure to use the proper parts may result in improper transaxle function or shift feel. Refer to Julian date located on the transaxle identification tag to locate the required parts in the Saturn Parts and Illustration Catalog.
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform technicians of parts changes to the reverse clutch and related components on 2003 Saturn L-Series vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles (RPO MN4 and MN5). These changes were made beginning with assemblies produced on December 4, 2002 (Julian date 02 338).
