The electronic brake traction control module (EBTCM) has a dedicated keyword 2000 (KW 2000) data link. This data link is only used for diagnostics/reprogramming. If the scan tool cannot establish communications with the EBTCM, the fault could be caused by:
| • | KW 2000 link from the DLC to the EBTCM is open, shorted to ground, or shorted to voltage. |
| • | A fault in the EBTCM |
| • | Power/ground circuit fault to the EBTCM |
