Rattle Noise Heard from the Sunroof after RIA Air Deflector Is Installed - kw roof coupe

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

A rattle noise is heard from the sunroof RIA air deflector after installation.

Two possible causes:

1. Friction tape was not used at the point of retaining clip contact or,
2. Clips are not tight enough for coupe requirements.

Install friction tape at clip contact point. Verify repair. If repaired, return the vehicle to the customer. If condition continues, lightly bend the retaining clips to give the air deflector a tighter fit in the vehicle. Clips may require extra effort to bend due to the stiffness of the part.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
