Luggage Shade Retainer Replacement Sedan

1. Remove the rear seat.

•	Disconnect at the loop (1) and support in rear area (arrow).

•	Remove the rear seat upwards.




2. Remove the rear seat backrest.

•	Remove the 3 bolts at the front.

•	Remove the 3 belt buckles.

•	Fold down the rear seat backrest.

•	Remove the 3 bolts at the back.




3. Remove the rear seat backrest.

Remove the rear seat backrest from the side guide.




4. Remove the lower quarter trim panel.

Release the 3 clips (arrows) and remove.

5. Remove the seat belt on lower quarter trim panel.

Remove the bolt.




6. Remove the upper quarter trim panel.

•	Release the access panel (1).

•	Release the upper quarter trim panel.

•	Release the 5 clips.

•	Unthread the seat belt.

•	Remove the upper quarter trim panel.




7. Remove the rear compartment sill panel.

•	Release carefully in the upper area (2) with a plastic wedge.

•	Release the 4 clips.

•	Release in the lower area in the direction of the interior.

•	Release the 4 clips.




8. Remove the rear quarter trim panel.

•	Remove the 3 bolts (1).

•	Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

•	Loosen 3 clips.

•	Remove the quarter trim panel.




9. Remove the luggage shade retainer (1).

1. Install the luggage shade retainer.

Insert and install the luggage shade retainer.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the rear quarter trim panel .

•	Connect the wiring harness plug.

•	Install the 3 clips.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment sill trim.

Install the 8 clips.

4. Install the upper quarter trim panel.

•	Thread in seat belt.

•	Install the upper quarter trim panel.

•	Install the panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

5. Install the seat belt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

6. Install the lower quarter trim panel.

Install the 3 clips.

7. Insert the rear seat backrest.

Insert the rear seat backrest into side guide.

8. Install the rear seat backrest.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 rear bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

•	Tighten the 3 rear bolts.

•	Fold down the rear seat backrest.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 front bolts with seat belt buckle to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

9. Install the rear seat.

Insert the rear seat cushion and position.

Luggage Shade Retainer Replacement Coupe

1. Remove the door sill plate.

•	Release the 5 clips.

•	Remove the door sill inner plate (1).




2. Remove the luggage shade.

•	Disconnect the 2 retaining cords from the liftgate (arrows).

•	Pull out 2 covers from the side supports (1).




3. Remove the rear compartment carpet (1).



4. Remove the trailer hitch ball head.

•	Loosen the fastening belt (1).

•	Remove the ball head (2).

5. Remove the additional storage tray under the load compartment carpet.



6. Remove the rear compartment sill plate.

Release the 7 clips (1).




7. Remove the bench seat.

•	Disconnect the 2 front brackets (1).

•	Support the 2 bench seats from the rear bracket.

•	Push the seat simultaneously backwards and upward.




8. Remove the rear seat backrest (l).

•	Remove the 4 bolts (2) at the front.

•	Remove the 3 belt buckles (1).

•	Fold down the rear seat backrest (II).

•	Remove the 4 rear bolts (2).

9. Remove the rear seat backrest.



10. Remove the upper center pillar trim.

•	Pull out the plastic rivet (1) from the center pillar trim.

•	Remove the molding from the seat with a plastic wedge.

•	Remove the seat belt bolts (3).

•	Remove the cap (2).

•	Remove the upper center pillar trim.




11. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel.

•	Remove the lower seat belt fastening (3).

-	Remove the lower seat belt anchor bar (4).

-	Remove the seat belt with striker.

-	Remove the seat belt striker guide bushing (5) from the rear quarter panel front.

•	Remove the rear quarter panel cover cap (2).

•	Remove the bolt.

•	Remove the bolt (6) from the rear seat backrest.

•	Remove the bolt (1) from the upper center pillar.

•	Release the lower rear quarter panel trim.

•	Remove the 8 clips (7).




12. Remove rear compartment side trim.

•	Remove the 3 bolts (1) from side load compartment cover.

•	Release the 2 clips (3).

•	Disconnect the luggage compartment light wiring harness plug (2).

•	Remove the rear compartment side trim.




13. Remove the left side upper quarter trim panel.

•	Remove the upper quarter trim seat belt fastening screws.

•	Remove the cover cap (1).

•	Release the 3 C-pillar upper quarter trim clips.




14. Remove the luggage shade retainer for the luggage shade.

•	Rotate the luggage shade retainer (1) 180 degrees.

•	Press out the luggage shade retainer from the outside inwards.

1. Install the luggage shade retainer for the luggage/shade.

•	Press in the luggage shade retainer from the inside outwards.

•	Rotate the luggage shade retainer socket 180 degrees.

•	Bolt the luggage shad retainer lock.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the rear inner paneling, rear quarter panel.

•	Connect the luggage compartment light wiring harness plug.

•	Insert the rear compartment side trim.

•	Install the 2 clips.

Tighten
Tighten 3 bolts in the luggage shade side to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

3. Install upper left side quarter trim panel.

•	Install the 3 quarter trim panel clips.

Tighten
Tighten the quarter trim seat belt bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

•	Install the cover cap.

4. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel.

•	Install the 8 rear quarter panel clips.

Tighten

•	Tighten the bolt on the upper quarter trim panel to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

•	Tighten the bolt to the rear seat backrest to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

•	Tighten the lower quarter trim panel bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

•	Install the rear quarter panel cover cap front.

•	Install the seat belt striker guide bushing to the rear lower quarter panel front.

•	Install the seat belt with striker

•	Install the lower seat belt striker

Tighten
Tighten the lower seat belt bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

5. Install the upper center pillar trim.

•	Guide the center pillar trim from above in inner paneling guide front of rear lower quarter panel.

•	Install the upper center pillar trim.

•	Press in the expanding bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the seat belt bolt to the center pillar trim to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

•	Install the cover cap.

6. Insert the rear seat backrest.
7. Install the rear seat backrest.

•	Guide in and position the rear seat backrest with guide pins right and left in the rear quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the 4 rear bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

•	Fold down the rear seat backrest.

•	Insert the 3 belt buckles.

Tighten
Tighten the 4 front bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

8. Install the bench seat.

•	Support the 2 seats in the rear bracket.

•	Push the seat simultaneously backwards and down.

•	Bolt the 2 front brackets.

9. Install the rear compartment sill plate.

Install the 7 clips.

10. Install the additional storage trays under the load compartment carpet.
11. Install trailer hitch ball head.

•	Thread the belt through the eye.

•	Insert the ball.

•	Tighten the belt.

12. Install the rear compartment carpet.
13. Install the luggage shade.

•	Engage 2 covers in supports, side.

•	Attach the 2 retaining cords to the liftgate.

14. Install the sill inner paneling.

Install the 5 clips.
