Did you review the Diagnostic System Check-Vehicle, and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

Verify that only one door lock is inoperative.

Are the door locks operative with only one door lock inoperative?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

  1. Disconnect the inoperative door lock connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal 1 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the LOCK position?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

Connect a test lamp between terminal 2 and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate with the door lock switch in the UNLOCK position?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the inoperative door lock. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in the D-BU wire between the door lock and S307. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in the WH wire between the door lock and S305. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the inoperative door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement or Rear Door Lock Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
