Schematic Reference: Theft Deterrent System Schematics

Did you review the Theft Deterrent Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Verify that the Theft Deterrent System does not disarm with driver front door key lock.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Verify that the Theft Deterrent System does not disarm with passenger front door key lock.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents

Go to Step 5

  1. Remove the driver door key cylinder switch connector.
  2. With the key in the door lock, check continuity between the white wire and the white and black wire on the key cylinder switch connector.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

  1. Remove the passenger door key cylinder switch connector.
  2. With the key in the door lock, check continuity between the white and red wire and the white and black wire on the key cylinder switch connector.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 6

Replace the Passenger Door Lock Detection Switch

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 14

Replace the Driver Door Lock Detection Switch

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 14

Check for continuity to ground in the ground circuit at cavity 7 of the Driver Door Lock Actuator. Refer to Circuit Testing .

Is a ground present?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open or high resistance in the unlock signal circuit between cavity 8 of the door lock actuator and cavity 37 of the Theft Deterrent module.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 14

Repair the open in the ground circuit between cavity 7 of the driver door lock actuator and Ground 200. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Go to Step 14

Check for continuity to ground in the ground circuit at cavity 8 of the Passenger Door Lock Actuator. Refer to Circuit Testing .

Is a ground present?

Go to Step 13

Repair the open or high resistance in the unlock signal circuit between cavity 5 of the door lock actuator and cavity 18 of the Theft Deterrent module

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 14

Repair the open in the ground circuit between cavity 7 of the driver door lock actuator and Ground 200. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
