Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 866517 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  2. Remove the front door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Remove the outer handle, by sliding towards rear of door, the pull to remove.

    4. Object Number: 866535 Size: SH
  4. Remove the TORX screw (5) from the outside handle frame (4), if necessary.
  5. Disengage the rod (6) from the door lock, and remove handle frame (4) from door if necessary.

    6. Object Number: 866640 Size: SH
  6. Disengage the handle frame clip (1) and remove from the door, if necessary.
  7. Remove handle gaskets from door, if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 866640 Size: SH
  1. Install handle gaskets to door, if removed.
  2. Install handle frame clip (1), if removed.

    3. Object Number: 866535 Size: SH
  3. Engage the rod (6) to the door lock, and install handle frame (4), if removed.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Secure the door handle frame (4) with the TORX screw (5), if removed.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the TORX screw to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Install the outer door handle to the door and slide forward.
  6. Install the front door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  7. Install the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
