Removal Procedure
- Unclip and remove the inner mirror garnish (6) from the door.
- Remove the front side door trim. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Disconnect the front upper speaker electrical connector (5), if equipped.
- Disconnect the outside rearview mirror electrical connector (2).
- Remove the following components from the door:
• | The front upper speaker (3), if equipped. |
• | The outside rearview mirror (1) |
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the outside rearview mirror (1) to the door and the front upper speaker (3), if equipped. Secure the mirror with the 3 nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the outside rearview mirror nuts to 8 N·m (6 lb ft).
- Connect the front upper speaker electrical connector (5), if equipped.
- Connect the outside rearview mirror electrical connector (2).
- Install the inner mirror garnish (6) to the door.
- Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
