Circuit Description
If a malfunction in the engine control module (ECM) circuit occurs, the 4WD control module will output this DTC.
DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC C1280 Engine Circuit Malfunction
Conditions for Running the DTC
This DTC shall run when the ignition is On.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
For 5 seconds or more, communication with the ECM is operating normally, but throttle position sensor in malfunctioning.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The 4WD control module will prohibit operations by the fail safe function.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The DTC will clear when conditions for setting the DTC have been repaired.
