Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2010757  Size: SH
  1. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), remove the differential cover plug (1) and gasket.
  2. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), remove the differential drain plug and gasket, then drain the oil.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), install the differential drain plug with a new gasket and tighten to 39 N·m (29 lb ft).
  2. Add oil.
  3. Check the oil level.
  4. Install the rear differential carrier cover plug.
  5. Note: After replacing oil, recheck the oil level after driving.

  6. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), install the differential carrier cover plug (1) with a new gasket and tighten to 39 N·m (29 lb ft).
  7. Stop the vehicle in a level place.

    Note: 

       • Excessively large or small amount of oil may cause damage.
       • After replacing oil, recheck the oil level after driving.

  9. Check that the oil surface is within 5 mm (0.197 in) of the lowest position of the inner surface of the differential filler plug opening.
  10. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.

  12. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), install the differential carrier cover plug (1) and a new gasket and tighten to 39 N·m (29 lb ft).
