Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement All Wheel Drive and GT

Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the rear suspension support crossmember in order to access the stabilizer shaft insulators. Refer to Rear Suspension Support Crossmember Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 829947  Size: SH
  3. Use paint in order to place match marks on the stabilizer shaft insulators (6, 13) and on the stabilizer shaft (14).
  4. Remove the 4 bolts (3, 4, 8, 9).
  5. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft insulator brackets (5, 7).
  6. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators (6, 13).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 829947  Size: SH
  1. If you are replacing the insulators (6, 13), copy the match marks from the old components to the new components.
  2. Align the match marks and install the insulators to the shaft.
  3. Install the brackets to the insulators.
  4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the 4 bolts (3, 4, 8, 9) to the brackets.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear suspension support crossmember. Refer to Rear Suspension Support Crossmember Replacement.

Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement Except All Wheel Drive and GT

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 2013403  Size: SH
  3. Remove the insulator (4) from the stabilizer shaft (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2013403  Size: SH
  1. Install the insulator (4) to the center of the stabilizer shaft (3).
  2. Lower the vehicle.
