Note: Arrange the valve lifters in the correct order.
- Remove the 16 valve lifters from the cylinder head.
Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Using
J 8062 compressor
(1),
EN 46353 adapter
, and wooden blocks (2), remove the 16 retainer locks.
- Remove the 8 retainers, compression springs and intake valves.
Note: Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
- Using
J 8062 compressor
(1) and wooden blocks (2), remove the 16 retainer locks.
- Remove the 8 retainers, compression springs and exhaust valves.
- Using needle nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seals.
- Using compressed air and a magnetic pick-up tool, remove the valve spring seats by blowing air onto them.
Note: If water leaks from the straight screw plug or the plug is corroded, replace it.
- Using a 14 mm straight hexagon wrench, remove the 2 No. 1 straight head screw plugs and 2 gaskets.
- Remove stud bolt.
- Remove ring pin.
