Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - AWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.4L (LAX) 🢒 Draining Fluids and Oil Filter Removal

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil into a container.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Clean and install the oil drain plug with a new gasket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten to 40 N·m (29 lb ft).

  3. Using a strap type wrench, remove the oil filter.
  4. Remove inlet water.
  5. Remove thermostat.
  6. Remove transverse engine mounting bracket.

  7. Remove the bolt (3) and 2 nuts (2), then remove the water by-pass pipe.
  8. Remove the gasket.
  9. Remove oil pressure switch.
  10. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor.

    11. Object Number: 2017777 Size: SH
  11. Using a 12 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the oil filter union (1).

    12. Object Number: 2017773 Size: SH
  12. Remove the bolt (1) and radio setting condenser.
  13. Remove one bolt and the oil level indicator tube.
