Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  3. Remove the right side engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement.
  4. Using the fixture, raise the engine assembly.

  5. Remove the lower drive belt tensioner nut (2).
  6. Remove the upper drive belt tensioner bolt (1) and remove the tensioner.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2017669 Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (1) and nut (2) to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  2. Lower the engine assembly enough to position the right side engine mount in place.
  3. Install the right side engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement.
  4. Remove the engine support fixture.
  5. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
