Special Tools

    • J-8614-A Pinion Flange Holder and Remover
    • J-22928-B Seal Installer

    Object Number: 2016860 Size: SH

    Note: Keep the lip free from foreign matter.

  1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal.

    2. Note: 

       • Wipe any extra grease off the crankshaft.
       • Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.

  2. Using the J-22928-B installer (1) and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the rear oil seal retainer edge.
