    Object Number: 2017265  Size: SH
  1. Uniformly loosen and remove the 10 main bearing cap bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

  2. Object Number: 2017266  Size: SH

    Note: Keep the lower bearing and main bearing cap as a set and arrange the main bearing caps in the correct order.

  3. Use 2 removed main bearing cap bolts to remove the 5 main bearing caps and 5 lower bearings.
  4. Lift out the crankshaft.

  6. Remove the upper crankshaft thrust washers (1,2) from the cylinder block.

  7. Object Number: 2017268  Size: SH

    Note: Arrange the bearings in the correct order.

  8. Remove the 5 upper main crankshaft bearings (1-5) from the cylinder block.

  9. Object Number: 2017269  Size: SH

    Note: Arrange the bearings in the correct order.

  10. Remove the 5 lower main bearings from the 5 main bearing caps.

  11. Object Number: 2017270  Size: SH
  12. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the bolts (1,5) and oil nozzles.
  13. Note: If the cylinder is washed at high temperature, the cylinder liner will stick out beyond the cylinder block. Always wash the cylinder block at a temperature of 45°C (113°F) or less.

  14. Clean cylinder block.
