Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - AWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 1.8L (LAY) 🢒 Timing Chain Tensioner Removal
  1. Set No. 1 cylinder to TDC/compression.
  2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

    3. Object Number: 2017037 Size: SH

    Note: Do not turn the crankshaft without the chain tensioner installed.

  3. Remove the 2 nuts (1,2), bracket, tensioner and gasket, chain tensioner assembly.

    4. Object Number: 2017038 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt (1) and the crankshaft position sensor.

    5. Object Number: 2017040 Size: SH
  5. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine oil pressure switch assembly (1).

    6. Object Number: 2017041 Size: SH
  6. If necessary, remove the No. 1 taper screw plug (1).

    7. Object Number: 2017047 Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolt and knock control sensor (1).

    8. Object Number: 2017050 Size: SH
  8. Using a 19 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
  9. Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
  10. Remove the oil filter cap assembly.
