Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the air cleaner cap with hose.

    3. Object Number: 2016536 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (1).
  4. Remove the bolt (2) and the camshaft position sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2016538 Size: SH
  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring (1) of the sensor.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2016536 Size: SH
  2. Install the camshaft position sensor with the bolt (2) and tighten to 9.0 N·m (80 lb in).
  3. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector (1).
  4. Install the air cleaner cap with hose.
  5. Inspect for engine oil leak.
  6. Install engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
