Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - AWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 1.8L (LAY) 🢒 Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2016625 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the duty vacuum switching valve connector (3) and the 3 engine wire harness clamps.

    3. Object Number: 2016626 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector (1).

    4. Object Number: 2016628 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt and the camshaft position sensor (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2016633 Size: SH
  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring (1) on the camshaft position sensor.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2016628 Size: SH
  2. Install the camshaft position sensor (1) with the bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 2016626 Size: SH
  3. Connect the camshaft position sensor (1).

    4. Object Number: 2016625 Size: SH
  4. Connect the 3 engine wire harness clamps and duty vacuum switching connector (3).
  5. Inspect for oil leaks.
  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
