Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the park brake shoes and the hardware. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement in Park Brake.

    2. Object Number: 818046 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bolt and the park brake cable (1) from the backing plate.
  3. Remove the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  4. Remove the backing plate.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the backing plate with the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 818046 Size: SH
  2. Install the park brake cable (1) and the bolt to the backing plate.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7.8 N·m (69.04 lb in).

  3. Install the park brake shoes and the hardware. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement in Park Brake.
