Removal Procedure
- Remove the right side fender flare. Refer to
Front Fender Flare Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the right side wheel house panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Disconnect the 2 washer pump electrical connectors (1).
- Disconnect the washer pump hoses (4) from the washer pumps (3).
- Remove the 3 bolts which secure the windshield washer solvent
container (2).
- Squeeze tabs on filler neck and pull down to remove washer solvent container (2)
from vehicle.
- Drain solvent from washer solvent container (2).
- Remove the washer pumps (1) from the washer solvent container (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the windshield washer pumps (1) to the windshield washer solvent container
(2).
- Install the windshield washer solvent container (2) by inserting
the neck through the holes until tabs click.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 3 bolts to the windshield washer solvent container (2).
Tighten
Tighten the washer solvent container bolts to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
- Connect the washer hoses (4) to the washer pumps (3).
- Connect the washer pump electrical connectors (1).
- Install the right wheel house panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Install the right fender flare. Refer to
Front Fender Flare Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Fill the washer solvent container (2) with washer solvent.
