Removal Procedure
- Remove the front side door water deflector.

- Remove the front door lock cylinder. Refer to
Door Lock Cylinder Replacement
in Doors.
- Remove the outer handle, by sliding towards rear of door, the pull to
remove.
- Remove the torx screw (5) from the
outside handle frame (4), if necessary.
- Disengage the rod (6) from the door lock, and remove handle frame (4)
from door if necessary.
- Disengage the handle frame clip (1)
and remove from the door, if necessary.
- Remove handle gaskets from door, if necessary.
Installation Procedure
- Install handle gaskets to door, if removed.
- Install handle frame clip (1), if removed.
- Engage the rod (6) to the door lock,
and install handle frame (4), if removed.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Secure the door handle frame (4) with the torx screw (5), if removed.
Tighten
Tighten the torx screw to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the outer door handle, to the door
and slide forward.
- Install the front door lock cylinder. Refer to

- Install the front side door water deflector. Refer to
Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
