Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 821611 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear bumper fascia energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement .
  3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    4. • The 4 nuts (2)
    • The rear bumper impact bar (1)
    • The 4 push-in retainers (3) and the 2 rear bumper stays (4) from the impact bar (1), if necessary

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the 2 rear bumper stays (4) and the push-in retainers (3) to the impact bar (1), if removed.

    2. Install the rear bumper impact bar (1) to the vehicle. Secure the impact bar with 4 nuts (2).

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear bumper impact bar nuts to 36 N·m (26 lb ft).

  2. Install the rear bumper fascia energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement .
  3. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
