For 1990-2009 cars only
- Install the exhaust crossover pipe studs if necessary (1). Tighten the exhaust crossover pipe studs to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the exhaust crossover pipe (3).
- Install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts (2) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Caution: When tightening the exhaust crossover pipe nuts be sure the pipe is in its original location, approximately 6.35 mm (0.25 in) from the thermostat housing. If the pipe is not installed in the correct location it could possibly contact this housing. If there is contact between the exhaust crossover pipe and thermostat housing, engine performance could be affected.
