Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2005 🢒 Sunfire 🢒 Body 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console 🢒 Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) latch. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 834344 Size: SH
  2. Depress the lock cylinder retaining tab (1) located on the bottom of the lock cylinder (2).

    3. Object Number: 740267 Size: SH
  3. Press out the lock cylinder from the I/P compartment door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 740267 Size: SH
  1. Align the lock cylinder to the opening in the I/P compartment door.

    2. Object Number: 834344 Size: SH
  2. Depress the retaining tab (1) while installing the lock cylinder (2) to the I/P compartment door (4).
  3. Install the I/P latch to the I/P compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .
  4. Test the I/P compartment door and lock cylinder for proper operation.
