  2. Install the exhaust manifold.

  3. Object Number: 60046 Size: SH

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the exhaust manifold nuts.
  5. Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  6. Install oil level indicator tube and indicator. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

  7. Object Number: 33611 Size: SH
  8. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield and bolts.
  9. Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 14 N·m (124 lb in).

  10. Install cruise control module. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement in Cruise Control.
  11. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  12. Object Number: 60045 Size: SH
  13. Install the flex decoupler to exhaust manifold bolts.
