The body control module (BCM) can be configured with the applicable vehicle options. This code implies that the BCM was not configured either at the asembly plant or after replacement.
• | The ignition switch is on. |
• | Voltage supplied to the BCM is in the normal operating range (approximately 9-16 volts). |
The DTC sets when the BCM is not configured properly.
The SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator illuminates.
• | A current DTC B1001 will clear when the BCM is properly programmed. |
• | A history DTC will clear if the condition is no longer present after 100 ignition cycles. |
