Did you perform the outside mirrors system check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms

  1. Disconnect the outside mirror switch connector C1
  2. Connect a test lamp between the outside mirror switch connector C1 terminal D (CKT 1732) and terminal A (CKT 150).

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step  3

Inspect the outside mirror switch connector C1. Verify that the terminals are clean and tight.

Are the terminals clean and tight?

Go to Step  5

Go to Step  4

Repair the outside mirror switch connector C1. Refer to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Symptoms

Replace the outside mirror switch. Refer to Power Mirror Switch Replacement.

Connect the test lamp between the outside mirror switch connector C1 terminal D and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step  7

Repair an open in CKT 150 between the outside mirror switch connector C1 terminal A and G304. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair ?

Go to Symptoms

Repair an open, high resistance, or short to ground in CKT 1040.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step  9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
