  1. Remove the manual shaft nut (144).
  2. Remove the detent lever and parking lock actuator rod (123) assembly (140).

    3. Object Number: 180689 Size: SH
  3. Remove the manual shaft spring pin (143) using diagonal pliers. Insert a wire in the center of the pin to prevent collapsing the pin during removal.

    4. Object Number: 180692 Size: SH
  4. Inspect the manual shaft for burrs before removing the shaft to prevent damage to the transmission case.
  5. Remove the manual shaft (141).
  6. Remove the manual shaft seal (142), if necessary.

    7. Object Number: 180747 Size: SH
  7. Remove the detent lever (140) and parking pawl actuator (123) assembly.
