Folding Top Link Nut

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Open the folding top to gain access to the link nuts.
2. Adjust the folding top link ball-socket to 4-6 mm (0.157-0.236 in) from the base/shoulder of the threads, or no more than 4 threads showing on the folding top link .

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Folding Top Link

Procedure

1. For old design, pull off the ball stud.
2. To install new design, perform the following procedure:

2.1.	Remove the nut and ball stud from the rear seal retainer support panel.

2.2.	Install the new star washer on the ball-socket, and install the ball-socket to the rearmost position in the slot on the support panel.

2.3.	Install the nut.

Tighten
12 N·m (106 lb in)

2. To install new design, perform the following procedure:
