THE FOLLOWING REVISED PROCEDURE WILL AID TECHNICIANS IN THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL FILTER ELEMENT ON 1981 OMEGA SERIES WITH L-4 ENGINES. 1.REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY. 2.DISCONNECT LARGE CARBON CANISTER BOWL VENT HOSE FROM THE CARBURETOR. 3.REMOVE SCREW RETAINING 3-HOSE MOLDED VACUUM HARNESS FROM 3 CANISTER PIPES, AND MOVE THE PIPES UP AND OUT OF THE WAY. 4.LOOSEN THE A.I.R. PUMP ADJUSTING BOLT AND MOVE THE PUMP ASSEMBLY FORWARD FOR CLEARANCE. 5.DISCONNECT THE CHOKE COIL ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND FUEL INLET LINE CONNECTION. REMOVE THE FUEL FILTER NUT, FILTER, AND SPRING. USE A LINE WRENCH TO BREAK LOOSE AND TIGHTEN THE FUEL INLET LINE.
