OIL PAN GASKET LEAKS OIL INSTALL NEW PAN GASKET

SUBJECT: OIL PAN GASKET OIL LEAKS (INSTALL NEW OIL PAN GASKET)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 PONTIAC LE MANS WITH 1.6L ENGINE

Recently a new oil pan gasket, P/N 90409693 replacing P/N 90353156 was released for production for increased engine durability for the 1992 Pontiac LeMans. The new gasket is polymer coated to prevent oil leakage at the gasket interface. Whenever it becomes necessary to replace the oil pan gasket, the new polymer coated gasket should be used.

Gasket replacement should be performed according to the LeMans Service Manual procedure.
