J-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses from the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipes using J-38185 pliers .
2. Drain the coolant system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .



4. Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1).



5. Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).



6. Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1).



7. Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).



8. Remove the auxiliary inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1).



9. Using the J-38185 pliers , disconnect the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hoses (2) at the rear of the vehicle.
10. Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hose assembly.

1. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hoses (2) to the rear of the vehicle.
2. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention locks.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




3. Install the auxiliary inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .



4. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).



5. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .



6. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).



7. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
8. Lower the vehicle.



9. Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
10. Install the heater inlet and outlet hoses to the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipes.
11. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention locks.
12. Fill the coolant system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
