Special Tools

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.



2. Remove the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement.



3. Use the J-37096 Holder in order to rotate the flywheel and access the torque converter bolts.
4. Use the J-37096 Holder to hold the flywheel.



5. Remove the flywheel to torque converter bolts.

1. Install the flywheel to torque converter bolts.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Use the J-37623 Remover to hold the flywheel. Tighten the bolts to 63 N·m (47 lb ft).



3. Install the torque converter cover. Refer to Torque Converter Cover Replacement.
4. Lower the vehicle.
