Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1544741 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the exhaust insulators (1) from the exhaust system (2) and the hanger bracket(s) as required.

    3. Object Number: 1544740 Size: SH
  3. Remove the exhaust hanger bolts (2) and hanger (1), if required.

    4. Object Number: 1681417 Size: SH
  4. Remove the catalytic converter hanger bolts and hanger, if required.

    5. Object Number: 1681419 Size: SH
  5. Remove the tail pipe hanger bolts and hanger, if required.

    6. Object Number: 1681420 Size: SH
  6. Remove the tail pipe hanger bolts and hanger, if required.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1681420 Size: SH
  1. Install the tail pipe hanger and bolts, if required, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft) .

    2. Object Number: 1681419 Size: SH
  2. Install the tail pipe hanger and bolts, if required, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft) .

    3. Object Number: 1681417 Size: SH
  3. Install the catalytic converter hanger and bolts, if required, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft) .

    4. Object Number: 1544740 Size: SH
  4. Install the exhaust system hanger (1) and bolts (2), if required, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft) .

    5. Object Number: 1544741 Size: SH
  5. Install the exhaust insulators (1) to the exhaust system (2) and the hanger bracket(s) as required.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
